Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and products operated by Parasol Software (“Parasol,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) — namely Marion, QuietForge, and Lattice (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These products are currently in development and are not offered for sale. We do not offer consulting, agency work, or unrelated services. When products become available, features, pricing, and availability may include free, paid, subscription, or in-app purchase options depending on the product.

Some Services may require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

At this pre-launch stage we do not sell products or paid subscriptions through this website. We may accept voluntary donations to fund development via third-party platforms (for example Buy Me a Coffee, PayPal, or Indiegogo). Those platforms’ terms and policies apply to any contribution you make there.

When we begin selling paid features, billing will be presented at checkout (including Stripe or app-store billing where applicable). Prices will be shown before purchase. Completing a purchase will authorize the charge. Subscriptions, if offered, will renew according to the terms shown at signup unless canceled as described in the product’s cancellation instructions.

6. Refunds, Cancellations, and Disputes

Refund, cancellation, and dispute handling is described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. During the current donations-only phase, platform policies (Buy Me a Coffee, PayPal, Indiegogo, etc.) govern those contributions.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, branding, and materials associated with the Services are owned by Parasol Software or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services as intended. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Products under development may change substantially before public release.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parasol Software and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) if you have not paid us.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parasol Software and its operators from claims arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

12. Geographic focus and legal restrictions

At this stage our primary focus is the United States. We do not currently impose additional export restrictions beyond applicable U.S. law. You may not use the Services in violation of U.S. export control or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date.
